Maaco auto paint dealer is guilty of false advertising.
Mar 7, 2008
MAACO complaint by Hntr
Another classic "bait and switch" scam. They advertise to paint your car for a certain low price, then once you show up, the price doubles before they even look at your car. Then when they examine your car, the price goes up from there to fix any flaws. Before long, the price is quadruple. Nobody ever gets the "advertised" price or even close to it. I am not sure if this problem is localized to one dealer, or if it is a franchise wide problem but it certainly needs to be dealt with. I am not sure who to report this to.
