Our estimate was for the following work.
Sand clear coat on fiberglass custom roof top,
Remove stone chips from rest of van.
minor body repair & surface rust.
Total repair est $1500.00 now we drove the van to the shop
WHAT WE GOT
Top was sanded clear coat removed or smoothed out.(ok)
Surface rust was skimmed over with body filler sanded but not smoothed out you can see the filler erea's as bumps in paint every wher they filled over rust.
16 runs in the finished paint
63 spots wher dirt was in the paint
paint has light & dark spots where they sprayed looks like compressor was running.
stone chips painted over not sanded smooth
two tone paint has over lapping and not strate
emblems have paint where they were painted and cleaned with thinner not masked off
oh and a tow bill where they said they had to tow the van in there shop funny when we picked it up they drove it around to us so whats the tow bill for
OUR TOTAL BILL $1988.94
AFTER WARDS WE CONTACTED OTHER BODY SHOPS AND NOW ITS GOING TO COST ANOTHER
$900.00 TO STRATEN IT OUT
THE PAINT JOB ITSELF WAS $800.00 PLUS THE BODY WORK
SO DID THEY USE KY OR VASALINE I THINK NOT
AND FOR ALMOST $2000.00 WE EXPECTED A DECENT JOB ANYWAY

Anyone who spends that much total needs to know how to spell. Go back to school or take an "English as a second language" course! |
