My wife’s 2003 Nissan Pathfinder LE was delivered to Store #M2826 for repair of rear bumper damaged in an accident. Vehicle delivered on 12/10, completion per their document promised 12/15. I called on 12/14 and was told work not be completed by 12/17 or 12/18, and they would call. No one called on those dates.

I called on 12/18 and was told vehicle was ready; it was late in day so I decided to pick up on 12/19. It was pouring rain, my wife and I were sick with flu, but we examined vehicle outside. In the rain. The work did not appear acceptable. Bumper was not aligned, and not attached properly. I could move it with my hand. Discovered that several clips had not been attached. Tech inserted clips but the bumper was still not stable.

I told the Operating Partner (OP) that it was unsatisfactory but we would take vehicle and inspect it at home under better weather conditions, and I would bring it back after holidays. And we had to return rental car that day paid for by insurance company. Operating Partner also offered to paint the rubber strip on bumper.

At home discovered that bumper was movable with just my hand; did not line up properly with other parts of auto body; and bolts connecting bumper with mud flap assembly (for lack of better deacription) were loose.

Carried vehicle back to MAACO on 1/2 with promise from Operating Partner to correct deficiencies. He said work would be started by 1/4, maybe completed by 1/5, and he would call me. By late afternoon 1/7 he had not called. I called and was told vehicle was ready. It being late we picked it up on 1/8.

Upon inspection, it looked as though vehicle had not been moved from parking spot where it had been left days ago. I inspected further and saw that bumper could still be moved by hand. And the loose bolt was still loose. The rubber pad had not been painted either. These things were pointed out to Operating Partner. He called tech to tighten bolt, which had fallen off in my hand when I discovered it had not been tightened.

I reminded the Operating Partner that online customer satisfaction surveys gave his store low ratings. He said he didn’t concern himself with that. It was a corporate matter. He suggested that I contact insurance company to check if some other damage still needed to be addressed. I was under impression that that was his responsibility, as the expert, to advise of damages, visible and unseen. I then asked if he thought he’d done the best he could. He responded yes. That did not inspire me to turn my vehicle over to him for a third time.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Pretty sad when they can't fix a bumper. Perhaps you gave them all the flu as revenge ....
