Verified Reviewer |Painted car the wrong color
The office personnel did not take the measures to get an accurate color to paint the vehicle. Instead, he guessed, and the color was wrong.
The car had spots over the entire car that appear as though the paint shop painted over them. Looks like poor craftsmanship.

Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Have the office personal get a vin number so the can get the correct paint

Verified ReviewerIssues with work provided
My vehicle is at Pearland, Texas, Maaco. I went to pick up my vehicle today, and there were lots of issues.
They broke my steering column, the antenna, and there are multiple dents and marks in the paint. The side view mirrors and the handles didn't get painted. They didn't put my camera back or my license plate. They are telling me if I don't pick up my vehicle today by 5 PM, I will be charged storage and fees and that I have to pay in full.
I don't want to pay in full when my vehicle isn't even finished and they won't fix the damages.
I have pictures as well. Please contact me ASAP.
Preferred solution: I want my vehicle fixed correctly before I pay for it.
User's recommendation: Don't use maaco in pearland this is how my vehicle looks and they want me to pay in full and move it before 5pm today.

Verified Reviewer |Price Gouging
Went to maaco at 4722 W Harrison in Chicago I'll. Maaco Quoted me a Price of 3,181.33 as a Customer paying out of pocket.
Then Proceeded to Send the Insurance Company a lower Quote for 2314.93. Should not the Estimates be the same? This is bad business. And never even told me they changed the quote.
Stating they changed it to fit Country Financial Standards! Wow! And I thought they were working for me.
Hd I paid the 3400.00 upfront they would hv accepted it. These guys are Shysters!
User's recommendation: DONT GO HERE
Painted car the wrong color
The office personnel took my information/request for a certain color paint job to the entire car. The car was painted a darker shade, which is unacceptable.

Verified ReviewerPoor Customer Service and bad quality of service
Close that location permanently. No good, no good, no good, no good, no good.
Horrible, bad work. Rush job. Paint over dust and dirt, leaving the vehicle looking dull and rough. Very dusty half job.
Don't take pride in their lies to customers about what they then don't. Robert at the front desk is very disrespectful. Will never recommend them to anyone.
This shop is horrible. They messed up my 2022 Ram.
- Sell you a lie
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer |Discrimination against low income people and unable to get car back
Discrimination against me due to being disabled and low income failing to take payment and give me back my car while charging me for storage until I get a job and make enough money to get a credit card in my name. My parents tried to pay and the manager said he would not take payment in any form from anyone else and neither did he respect that I am disabled so he said it doesnt matter and have to get a job and my own credit card to pay before I get my vehicle back.Low income and disabled people stay away from Maaco, especially on Mason Rd in Katy, Texas
- Will not return vehicle to low income disabled american
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerHad my car repaired and painted.
First paint job was horrible and didn't fix what I paid for. Second repainting is worse than first.
They left dents in my door from the grinder. They gobbed up the rear bumper so bad it looks horrible. Called Maaco and was told to take it to a different store. Now I'm being told they will not fix what they screwed up.
I'm disabled and can't afford to fix their screw ups.
Please fix my car. Teresa Williams

Verified ReviewerStore owes us money
Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I had advertising contracts with the local Maaco Body Shop. Michael Bryars is the franchise owner in my area.
He had a signed contract running commercials on our radio stations. He owes us $4,200. (4 months of radio advertising). This was last year.
He received what he ordered, the radio commercials, but is refusing to pay what he owes us. He responded to one of my many emails in November, stating that he would pay off his balance by the end of the year. He did not pay it. I have tried many times: calls, emails, we have even sent a demand letter.
I went to the location to talk to him in person. He tried to tell me that we didn't give him what we promised for some grand opening event. We never had any agreement with him about a grand opening. He worked with more than one radio station in town, so I told him he must have us confused.
I am hoping maybe you can help. It's certainly not a good look for Maaco. I am just his account rep. We get paid on commission.
My commission has been taken back from me, since he never paid. I am just hoping to get this in front of someone who might be able to help us.
Preferred solution: He needs to pay his bills.
Maaco has tore up my truck and kept it for over 60 days
I took my truck down to maaco in Gastonia on 4/21/25. When I got it back they had tore up my windshield wipers and headlight.
The truck also was door painted for the price I paid. Jordan accepted responsibility for the damage and promised to repaint the truck and fix the damage.
It's been over 60 days and Jordan will not give me his last name so I can seek legal assistance. He also has agreed with me via text that I deserve to have it fixed and receive a full refund and apology.

Actually you being disabled are the one with no respect for that fact. Your disability and income level have no relevance to your fairy tale you posted.
And most certainly neither fact was something this business needed to be told by you. When you were given the estimate you had a choice to NOT proceed. The owner has every right to charge you storage.
I suggest you get your parents to give you CASH to pay your bill. The owner is definitely not going to risk them or you initiating a credit card dispute.
It seems like you want special treatment because you are disabled. When you do not get it, you claim discrimination.
Well, if you get special treatment, isn't it discriminating against those of us who can walk? If you cannot afford a car take public transit.
It is not discrimination against you for being poor. You simply cannot afford a car.
